Late cancellation

Cancelling or rescheduling a mediation session inside the practice’s defined notice window, often triggering a fee or policy communicated at booking.

General information only, not legal advice, mediation advice, or a substitute for professional judgment. Neutly is administrative software for mediator practices; it does not host live video or select court neutrals. Mediators and lawyers remain responsible for their work.

Late cancellations waste reserved time and frustrate other parties who prepared. Practices publish notice periods on booking pages and enforce them consistently using wall-clock hours until session start.

Software should evaluate notice against practice timezone rules, not raw server time. Staff see whether a cancellation is late before waiving fees or offering a new slot.
