Mediation invoicing
Billing parties for mediation fees, cancellations, or additional sessions with clear line items, tax treatment, and payment tracking on the matter.
General information only, not legal advice, mediation advice, or a substitute for professional judgment. Neutly is administrative software for mediator practices; it does not host live video or select court neutrals. Mediators and lawyers remain responsible for their work.
Invoices should match what parties saw at booking and intake billing fields. Split invoices, GST, and commercial terms vary by jurisdiction and practice policy.
Neutly links payments and invoice state to cases so billing staff are not reconciling spreadsheets. See commercial invoicing and online fee collection guides for workflow detail.
How does a mediation billing system work?
At booking, parties may pay deposits or full fees through Stripe Connect to your practice account. After the session, commercial matters often need a post-session invoice with hourly or daily rates, branded PDF, and a secure payment link. Staff track outstanding balances on the matter and billings surface; overdue reminders can run automatically while you mediate.
Records parties and accountants expect
Each payment and invoice stays tied to the case ID so you can answer “who paid what for which session?” without exporting folders. When invoices or session fees mark paid, supported accounting integrations can push receivables to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or MYOB—separate from Neutly’s own platform subscription billing.
