Shuttle mediation
A format where the mediator moves between separate rooms or virtual breakout spaces rather than keeping all parties in one joint room continuously.
General information only, not legal advice, mediation advice, or a substitute for professional judgment. Neutly is administrative software for mediator practices; it does not host live video or select court neutrals. Mediators and lawyers remain responsible for their work.
Shuttle work is common when relationship strain is high or parties refuse joint opening. The mediator carries offers and interests between rooms while preserving each side’s confidentiality instructions.
Remote shuttle mediation relies on reliable video links and clear scheduling. Integrations and session-day checklists help staff confirm links, time zones, and attendance before the mediator starts shuttling.
